Your membership dues support the work of the Michigan Coalition for Open Government, a nonprofit, statewide group that educates citizens about their right to access public records, attend public meetings and watchdog their local and state governments, school boards and other public bodies. MiCOG is committed to securing, protecting, expanding and maintaining the people’s right to know what goes on within its governments — but we can only do our work with your help. If you have any questions regarding what level of membership best suits you and/or your organization, please contact us at info@miopengov.org. Memberships run Jan. 1 to Dec. 31. Memberships for those joining Nov. 1 or after are carried through the next calendar year.
The coalition is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. All membership dues and donations to the coalition are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Please consult your tax adviser.
